Go, go, go Joseph!

Tonight is the opening night of my son’s school production, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, in which Josiah is starring as Joseph. Not only are we very proud as parents of him, but there is a rather nice link, as about 30 years ago, I starred as Joseph in my school production of the same musical!

It is lovely to hear Jo singing and practicing the songs, which are so familiar, and we are really looking forward to seeing the show over the next few days.

The story of Joseph (found in Genesis chapters 37 to 47) is an amazing story of God’s grace in using a young man, who wasn’t perfect (he was a bit naive and proud), but who trusted God, even when things went wrong for him, time and time again. It is a lesson to us all that we may go through difficult times or face tough situations in order to bring a bit of God’s presence and wisdom into those times.

So “Go, go, go Joseph!”
